What Is Adoption?
Adoption is a unique and rewarding approach to missions. It is not a one-off donation. Adoption is integrating your church into God’s redeeming story of an entire country. We want to create a relationship of significance between the people of Eurasia Northwest and your church. Adoption can be prayer, short-term missions trips, financial contributions, monthly support of personnel on the ground, or all four. It is a comprehensive commitment to an entire country that, like all important relationships, will be as meaningful to you as it is to those in Eurasia Northwest.
What Does Adopting a Country Look Like?
Our desire is that the value added in the relationship between your church and the support of missions in any of our countries and to any of our missionaries extends both ways. We want the missions experience to add value to your church as much as it adds to our work on the field. In fact, we believe adoption is a way in which missions in the country of adoption can become our work.
Adoption creates a way in which you can join us as missionaries as we integrate ourselves together with you in God’s redeeming work in the country of adoption. This happens as we, the missionaries of Eurasia Northwest, join in a true partnership with your church so that we can together impact the spiritual destiny of the adopted nation.
"Since adopting the Republic of Georgia, our missions giving has greatly increased. Seeing the return of their giving, our people have bought into our adoption of the Republic of Georgia. They are excited to see the blessing they have been to not just a place, but a country."
Jim McNabb, The Bridge Pastor
"River Valley Church is honored to support the Finish Campaign, not only because of the incredible need that exists in the region, but because of the inspiring vision and plan to reach those not yet reached within the Baltics."
Justin Mack, River Valley Missions Pastor
"When we chose as a church to go to Moldova for the first time in 2010, we had no idea that this country would become a part of our long-term mission. Currently, we’re preparing for our seventh trip to Moldova and feel that our team is truly a part of the team there. Since adopting in Moldova, we have seen an increase in giving of money and materials toward the mission, and because of this giving, we have been able to help churches in Moldova build and expand, seeing hope grow in the nation."
Denis Favreau, Eglise Le Portail
"We don't know how long Georgia and Armenia will be open. That’s the window that motivates me right now. We have to make this happen now."
Dary Northrup, Timberline Church Pastor
